Great for apartment / small backyard folks!!
I bought this grill only a month ago, so I cannot address the rust issue - but I'm LOVING this grill!! I've owned various portable grills for camping and patio grilling (I've always lived in small places with limited outdoor space). This is the most impressive grill I've ever seen for that purpose.

Its grilling area is HUGE compared to most portable grills. And, its very sturdy legs make it a formidable stand-up grill as well. We have a small patio at the moment, only enough room for four chairs, a small table and a small/mid-sized grill. This is an excellent mid-sized grill, for those who don't have room for a master's grill with huge hood, etc., yet want to be able to grill multiple steaks with veggies and some dogs - all at the same time. The drip pan can be filled with fresh water to keep food moist while grilling (works great). The smaller interchangeable grill parts (optional on this model) are dishwasher safe.

I'm planning on breaking it down during seasons when I'm not grilling as much (like winter), and storing it my outside shed. It will barely take up any room, yet can be re-setup within 3-5 minutes.

That's about it. Gotta go buy some food to grill this fourth of july...

Buy the Road Trip Grill, not the Sport Model
I just bought the Coleman Road Trip Grill and used it on a windy, rainy camping trip and I was so impressed that I am compelled to write this review. First, I am NOT reveiwing the Sport model because it is less powerful than the regular model. In fact, I have no idea why they would make a Sport model for around the same price and make it less powerful.
At 20,000 BTUs and with modular grills and griddles that are dishwasher safe, I knew I could cook up a storm (and through one) and then not worry about clean up. I ended up cooking for the family at the next door campsite becasue they couldn't cook through the rain or wind with their open face grill.
I was able to light mine, throw meat on the grill and use a small frying pan with a lid on it to steam cook vegetables AND still close the grill cover to contain heat and keep out rain. I cooked steak, chicken, vegetables, pancakes, omelettes and grilled cheeses all weekend long on one disposable Coleman propane tank. This grill rocks. I even use it home now where balcony grills are illegal and I didn't want to have a larger grill be visible on my balcony all the time. This one folds up and fits into a storage bin. Plus, its legs are very sturdy and I have no fear of it tipping.
Downsides: it's about 30lbs. and there is no handle on it to carry it like a brief case. thus, you have to use two hands and carry it in front of you.
It's cheaper, more powerful, more versatile and has more cooking surface area than the Weber Q. Plus it lays flatter so its profile is less for easy storage and transport in a small car. I can't say enough good stuff about this grill.

Great for small famliles, camping, etc...
I bought my grill in the summer of 2003 and have gotten great use out of it since. The griddle section is great for chicken, fish, and whatever else you'd use the griddle for. The grill section does a nice job also, especially for marinaded items. The heating surfaces are interchangable with a stove, griddle and grill sections you can buy separately (Best prices I've found are through the manufacturer). I brought my grill camping last summer and put it through a good workout, it only used one of the small propane bottles. You can also buy an attachment to run a big tank off it.

The unit folds up well for transport. The only drawback is the grease pan (which you fill with water), it can be a little awkward to remove without spilling on the burners (which light well from the electric starter, except when wet). The grease pan is also a little awkward to clean. Over all, it's a great product and you can beat Coleman products for quality.
