Weber 2820 Smokey Mountain Cooker/Smoker

My husband recently got rid of his charcoal smoker and bought an electric one. He is so in love with it we haven't gone a single week without some kind of smoked meat. He wanted to protect it from the elements so he asked me to get a cover. I went to Amazon and ordered this one. He is well pleased with it. It's a sturdy product.

I think I have had almost every type of smoker/cooker ever made to mankind but the Smokey Mountain cooker will be my last. This cooker is hands down the best you can purchase. If you are a smoker/cooker afficiando then you must have this product. A friend told me about this smoker/cooker and raved about it. Now I know why. I smoke/cook a lot......in fact over the Memorial day holiday I smoked/cooked Sat., Sun. and Mon. all on the Smokey Mountain cooker. I highly recommend it.....you won't be sorry ! Rob

I started looking for a smoker a couple months ago as we were coming into spring time with the intention of putting a lot of time in this summer smoking. There are other quality smokers out there, but the Weber, between excellent product quality and great customer service was the smoker I had my eye on. I also found the great Virtual Weber Bullet site which is a wealth of information regarding the use of the Weber Smokey Mountain smoker. For someone who has little or no experience smoking, this product was very easy to setup and use. So far I have successfully done turkey, chickens and ribs without any problems. The smoker stays right on target once the temperature is stabilized.

My only complaint about the Weber is the lack of an integrated thermometer. This is unfortunate, but easily solved by integrating a thermometer into the lid or using a probe thermometer such as the Maverick RediChek Remote Wireless Smoker Thermometer which has a smoker temp probe and a meat probe.

The shipping on this product was lightening quick! Thank you Amazon. My husband is loving his new toy and we are having a blast smoking everything from cheddar cheese to salmon to beef brisket. Delicious!!!
