One Touch is the best
I was very happy with the speed and ease of ordering and delivering. This was a gift for a friend she loved it.... 2008-07-22

Go for the gold!
I rate this grill 4 stars out of 5 only because it arrived with two damaged pieces; the porcelain lid and one of the legs. If it had arrived in perfect condition, I would have given my experience with Amazon and with Weber a perfect score.
The Positive: I previously purchased the silver model as a gift and noticed that the ashes, which fall into a silver plate under the bottom vent, make quite a mess in his yard! Consequently, even though I could have purchased the silver model from a local hardware store for about half the cost of this one, I wanted to upgrade to the gold, which has the ash catching feature. Also, after reading the reviews where owners stated that their grills lasted over ten years, I decided to splurge on the unique green model. Because I could not find the green or blue model at a store in my area, I ordered my grill from Amazon on a Sunday selecting the free-shipping option. By late Tuesday afternoon (Only two days later!), the grill was on my doorstep. The next day, within 90 minutes of opening the box, I was grilling my first set of burgers. The grill was incredibly simple to use in combination with the Weber Rapidfire Chimney Starter. This is coming from someone whom has never grilled before in their life. (I am recently divorced and finally decided to grill for myself.) I am not disappointed with the Weber products. In fact, I feel sorry for my neighbors and their gas grills. I have no idea why someone would go to the expense of purchasing a gas grill in exchange for the flavor grilling over charcoal provides.
The Negative: The assembly directions were in picture form with no text. Still, they were mostly straightforward with the exception of how to attach the enclosed ash catcher. After a few minutes of trial and error I was able to figure out what to do. A concern is that the ash catcher is held in place on the bottom of the kettle by metal tabs supported by each of the three legs. The tabs are only about one-third of an inch long, but since there are three of them, hopefully the stability of the ash catcher will not be a problem down the road. While putting the grill together, I immediately noticed that one of the legs was dented. I would not have contacted Weber about this alone. However, as I was grilling I saw that the porcelain top was chipped near the vent exposing some metal. After the grill cooled, I rubbed the damaged area with my finger and a small piece of porcelain flaked off. The next morning, I called the Weber customer service line and they are shipping me a new lid, leg, and a set of wheel caps. The person I talked to was cheerful and did not hassle me at all. A+++ service
Bottom Line: I recommend this grill and recommend ordering it from Amazon. The free shipping was incredibly fast, and of course the model I purchased is not available from stores in my area. Weber's customer service is outstanding. So, if I were you, I would closely inspect your grill immediately when it arrives and then work with Weber if there are any issues.

Excellent Grill
This will be my third Webber.
My big tree in the back took the last one out.
The Insurnace company bought this one.
I love the new color, it's a great grill.
I just miss the handle on the side that i used to have that held the top.

better than ever
My dad was a master of the Weber kettle and it was the only grill I ever knew back home. When I moved into my house almost 26 years ago my parents bought me my own and this is the one I've just replaced--I'm passing it on to my son. The new Weber is better than ever. I love the flavor of the slightly smoked food and also the fact that I don't have to bother with gas and gas connections. The only hassle I had with the old one was the ash catcher--a flimsy round pan that was hard to remove, got bent out of shape, and was a target for the dogs to lick. The new one comes with a neatly enclosed ash pot, inaccessible to wind or dogs. The only reason I don't give it all five stars is that I still seem to have trouble removing the ash catcher from the grill--maybe it's just me! 2008-06-26

My last weber lasted thirty + years
I like the new ash removel system. Also the hinged grill for added coals for indirect cooking. 2008-06-25
