Not bad
The first unit I recieved had a cracked fire bowl. Cast iron is brittle... Within a week a replacement was at my door. That's great service. I only have one concern:
The loader door has small tabs that act like hinges. Considering this unit is cast iron, I believe those tabs can break off just by dropping the door or pulling open too far. Then, the door won't stay in place in when open.
One wish:
The unit should come with adjustable grill heights for heat adjustment. Using the vent door to adjust heat doesn't really work well.
The thick and heavy grill is great for heat retention and even cooking.
Overall, the unit is great for small batches and portability. Not really good for a whole rack of ribs or a couple of 28oz Porterhouse slabs. Can't expect too much for $39 bucks...

love this grill!
This is the second one we've ordered. We take it everywhere in our RV. It's extremely sturdy, but small enough to fit in storage. Highly recommend.

The best on the market
Bought this from Amazon after seeing it at the Lodge store in Tennessee. Was on sale so ended up saving $50!! Is a great grill/hibachi. Is thick heavy cast iron so takes a while to heat up, figure a hour or more and make sure the coals are completely gray.
Grills everything perfectly. Make sure is on a sturdy, non flamable surface as even the feet get hot.
One caution, is very heavy (about 30 pounds) so if you have a problem lifting anything that heavy make sure you have someone to lift it for you. It does come with a stainless handle.

Just what I was looking for!
We used this beautiful little grill on our camping trip last week and just loved it. Sure it's heavy - but so is the cast iron skillet I've had for over 30 years! You can lighten the load you carry from the car to picnic table if you take the grill top, fire door and vent slide off. I put it on a half-sheet aluminum cookie sheet/pan (cheap at Sam's or Smart & Final) to protect the picnic table and cloth and cooked right on the table. Made beautiful thick strip steaks - and as the meat cooled off in the cold air outside, we put slices back on the grill (right next to us) to reheat. Yum. It's definitely worth getting a quality item that you won't have to replace.

Outside cooking
When my husband wanted to buy this I wasn't sure that we would use it but when it was on sale on friday with free shipping we ordered it. We have used it several times, the hamburgers cooked on it are some of the best that I have ever eaten and it doesn't take long to cook or to start the charcoal in the chimney starter. Thanks,
