Must Have!!
This is a must have if you want to hook up a standard 20 pound propane tank to your Q grill. Buy it - it's a must.

works ok
I had the same problems as many others with low flow, but after a call to Weber (very friendly, helpful, and NOT in India) I was good to go. I have found that when turning on the tank you need to simply turn it extremely slow until you hear the gas just starting to flow. Once it has done that for a couple seconds you can turn the valve on at a normal rate. I couldn't imagine doing it a 1/4 turn at a time every time. As long as I am careful to do the slow valve turning, the hose work perfectly. I have been very happy with it and my Q220 grill. It's too bad they can't make the saftety valve a little less finicky. I've noticed in stores that this hose now has a green plastic nut. I wonder if it is an improved version???

Went bad after 4 uses
I used it 4 times and it was fine, then it stopped working.Good luck trying to get Weber to give you a new one. They insist the customer is to stupid to grasp the concept of "open slowly" and is unable to tell time.
It's not like I forget how to use it after 4 times,it is just a piece of cheap junk.I spent 6 years working on aircraft. If I didn't know when a valve was sticking there would be a lot of dead people on my record.

The worst thing is Webers sickeningly sweet attitudes while they tell you how stupid you are. They are quite aware of this issue and are selling these cheap hoses because they get a higher markup than they would on a quality, stainless steel protected(for squirrel proofing) hose.

Save cost, reduce waste and expand your grilling time!
I am very happy with my 20 lbs Tank Adapter for my Weber Q grill. It is a great accessory to go with my little Q, the cart, and the vinyl cover.

My primary reasons for ordering the tank adapter are:
1) Save money -- buying little 14.1 ounce cans of propane is pretty costly compared to getting the 20 lb of propane
2) Reduce waste -- going through the smaller 14.1 ounce cans is just plain wasteful. I am not even sure they can be re-used or re-cycled :-(
3) Expand grilling time -- prior to getting the tank adapter and 20 lb tank, I ran into the situation where I would check on my steak/chicken/burger, anticipating eating them... only to find that the 14.1 ounce can had run out and my steak/chicken/burger was woefully undercooked. This won't happen nearly as often with the 20 lb can (though I expect it still will happen).

Also, I haven't experienced any rodents chewing on the hose...

Highly recommend

Will most likely get again in the future if the squirrels attack it.
We bought the hose to be used with the Q grill. We first started using it with the portable tank which could be very convenient if we bring the grill for camping use. But the portable tank used up very fast. With this hose we are able to hook it up to a regular refillable propane tank. Unfortunately the squirrels (or is it rats?) like to chew on it. I read another review that said the same thing.
