Best Grill for medium range activities
This is an excellent grill for small or medium size family. Doesn't require a huge pile of coal. I have used it for about 5 times since I bought, very easy to clean ash.
It's heavy duty and provides excellent temperature control.
The only issue is the assembly, where the instructions are not well written. If the company can provide better document to do that then it's a six star grill.

Good quality grill for those who prefer charcoal over gas
I wanted a grill with a strong metal body and most of all that was easy to remove the ashes out of. The slide out drawer makes dumping out the ashes a quick and easy task. Plus the cast iron cooking grates are excellent (be sure to season them as per the instructions prior to cooking on them). I would say if you are looking for small grill with exceptional quality for the price, then look no further. This grill is just the right size for my wife and I and even about four more. It will hold six steaks max., but I have a larger grill for bigger cookouts. Now comes with good instructions on how to assemble. This grill is a cut above those discount store grills for about the same or less money. 2008-02-08

Great Grill!
If you are a small family or a couple like we are, and you enjoy the flavor of char grilling rather than gas grilling~ this is the grill for you! We have the larger counterpart to this patio model and we were estatic when we saw that Char Griller made one this size. It is perfect! We give two thumbs up and 5 stars! 2008-01-28

Great small grill
Great small grill- if you don't have a lot of room, this is the grill for you. The iron grates are great (pun intended) for even heat distribution. It is too small to use charcoal baskets, but if you scrape the coals to both ends you can do some indirect grilling. It's just big enough for a 5-6 pound beer can chicken. The assembly instructions are terrible, but as a guy that's half the fun. Be sure to properly season it before use- coat all surfaces with vegetable oil and fire up enough coals to burn for a few hours. It'll burn off all the excess grease, paint, etc. used in manufacturing. 2007-12-13

Quality Grill, Nice Features, Great Grates
This grill is excellent! I love grilling on my Patio Pro. The grill comes with cast iron grates which cook much more evenly and quickly that the standard metal grates on most retail grills. I normally have hot coals in three-fourths of the grill where I can sear my steaks and then move them over indirect heat to complete the cooking process. The cast iron grates evenly distribute the heat so the steaks cook quickly even over indirect heat. The grill is big enough to easily cook a full meal for my family of four. I've had two large steaks (enough for 4 when cut in two), four baked potatoes, and six mini cobs on the grill all at once. The pull out ash tray makes it easy to empty the ashes and also to access the charcoal without removing the grates during cooking to place smoker chips for flavor. This grill is also heavy duty. Grilling 1 to 3 times per week wore out my $50 walk-a-bout grill in 18 months. This grill should last for years. Finally, the grill was not all that difficult to put together. It took a couple of hours to put together at a leisurely pace, but wasn't overly complicated. If you are in the market for a small high quality grill with some nice features, buy this one! 2007-11-30
