Weber 426001 Q 300 Propane Gas Barbecue

After using several cheap brands in the past the Weber Q 300 is well worth the investment. Assembly is straight forward and all the pieces fit together without a hassle...a quality product. And the Amazon price is the best value around.

The grill that I purchased is fantastic. It was easy to assemble, it cooks evenly, it is easy to opperate, and the style hides the unattractive propane tank, so it is asthetically pleasing. It did arrive, however, with a small plastic piece broken off of it. This may have been the result of careless shipping or faulty merchandise. From my experience with delivery packages, I would confirm it was due to carless shipping.

We are not specialists in BBQ, doing it on a casual, periodic basis. Our old BBQ actually rotted out on the patio primarily from nonuse. Nevertheless, at times we have summer parties, and my husband will barbecue hamburgers and hotdogs. I carefully read all of the reviews on this product and had my husband do the same; we were both impressed by the installation, cooking, appearance aspects, and Amazon ran it on somewhat of a special, so we purchased. It arrived in less than a week, packaged extremely well. All parts were present. Once we got everything unwrapped and checked, it took my husband 55 minutes to put the BBQ together. He said the instructions are very straightforward. The only drawbacks were two: that the diagrams could have been a little larger, and in step 1, installing the 2 Phillips K50 screws was hard to do. It would have been nice to have a cookbook included, but there is a grilling guide provided.

As to how it cooks, well, you will never eat another hamburger cooked any other way. I suggest additionally purchasing Weber's Big Book of Grilling, which is also sold on Amazon; it will tell you how to cook anything, including hamburgers. June 18, 2008 update: We have done tri-tip, rib-eye steaks, as well as hamburgers on this grill, and we love it. Another major bonus is that the two heavy grill plates can be scrubbed off first and then put in the dishwasher.

What can we say that 50-some others haven't said already. Just have to add our two cents and say, Go for this grill, You will not be sorry!

I have grilled more in two weeks using this lil' Weber Q 300 than I have in YEARS using other brands. Nuff said.

In spite of some negative reviews, we are grilling happily. Was easy to assemble & use.
