Weber 3780001 Genesis S-320 Propane Gas Grill, Stainless Steel

This is a really good grill.
Only have 2 complaints.
1. Unless you regularly work with assembling complex appliances with less than perfect instructions, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT unassembled in a box!
In an attempt to save space, the very lenghty unpacking and assembly process has NO WRITTEN instructions. Just very small Pictures that several times did not contain enough detail to specifiy the orientation that pieces were supposed to be bolted together in. This caused BACKTRACKING (unbolting) to where the ambiguity appeared and resuming the assembly process. Took almost 6 hours to assemble.
2. Handle placement on Front of lid is dangerous if you are used to grills that have knobs on either side of the lid.
If you are cooking something at the hottest setting 600+F (like steak).
The front-located handle gets very hot. My old Ducane had two bakelite knobs on the left and right sides of the lid. No matter how hot the grill got, you never were in danger of burning yourself because you lifted the lid from the side of the grill. The knobs didn't heat up much, and becuase you did the lifting from the side, you avoided that initial blast of superheated air when you first lift the lid.

THIS GRILL IS NOY ONLY BEAUTIFUL BUT EASY TO USE. FOOD IS ALWAYS MOIST AND FLAVORFUL.

I did a ton of research before buying this. Outstanding grill. DEFINITELY worth the price. You can get cheaper grills at the local box store, but they will not come close to this one.

- well engineered and manufactured
- even heating / easy to control heat / gets very hot
- propane scale/guage is a nice plus (give you an idea how much LP you have left).
- will last forever

If you're comparing this to the E320, there's more to the difference than just the stainless outside. The internal parts are also different (7mm solid stainless grate, stainless flavorizer bars...). The difference is worth the price. It is possible to get the good internal stuff with the enamel exterior (black, green, blue, copper) if you buy the EP-320, which I believe is only sold by Ace Hardare and similar stores. The E-320, which is sold at all the box stores is inferior to both the EP-320 and S-320.

Bottom line -- you can't go wrong with a Weber Genesis. I recommend the EP-320 or S-320 if it fits your budget. Otherwise, you're still getting a good grill with the E-320.

About Weber: these guys are professionals. I called with a questions and A PERSON answered the phone. She was very patient and helpful. The packaging, instructions, and assemply exceeded all expectations. It was actually a pleasure to unpack and put together compared to anything else I've ever purchased. I also recommend Weber accessories -- much better than any other brand I've purchased.

I bought it from Amazon and it arrived quickly. the shipping company called me to arrange delivery, and I recieved it a couple days later. They placed the big, heavy box where I asked (in a detached garage behind my house). A little damage to the box during shipping, but the grill was fine.

I can't say enough to endorse this grill. You will not regret the purchase.

Very nice looking, solid grill. Very easy to assamble, works perfect so far. Includes system to measure gas level remainin in the thank, I haven't get to the point to see how precise is but at least you are not blind completely.

I knew when I was putting it together that it would be golden. Most of the hardware (bolts / nuts) were actually made of stainless steel! How nice to have decent bolts that don't strip out when assembling.

A socket set is helpful for assembly, as is the socket / screwdriver tool that's standard in most of them.

It literally is almost too beautiful to use. It heats quickly and more importantly, cools off quickly so you can put the cover back on.

No cold spots on the grill, the stainless is 304 alloy (magnetic). High, high quality, made in the USA greatness.
